Bruce King was born July 6th, 1947, in Champaign, Illinois. He grew up in Illinois where the winters were harsh, and that was one of his favorite things about Texas. He absolutely fell in love with the warm weather and the sweet countenance of the people here.
Bruce grew up with his three siblings; Carole Carlson of The Woodlands, Bill King of Houston, and Jeff King of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd O. King, and mother, Caroline Rose King.
Bruce was a loving husband to his wife, Kathie, for over 46 years. He shared his life with three children; Brooke, Nicholas, and Tara King Freeman and her loving husband Michael. On June 15th, Tara and Michael gave him one of his greatest treasures; a precious baby boy named Moses and he became a grandfather for the first time.
He loved the Lord with all of his heart, and he dearly loved the people God brought into his life. He was always excited to tell you what his God had done in his life every day, because he looked for God's fingerprints in every part of his life.
Bruce was a prayer warrior for the people in his life. He showed his loving care by gently lifting them up to the Throne of God. His life was dedicated to bringing people to Heaven's Gates.
