Carl Bruce Logan, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 with his family at his side joining his wife of 52 years, Eva June Logan in Heaven.
Carl was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who dedicated his life to his family. He leaves his son Cary Blane Logan, grandson, Jordan Blane Logan, Granddaughter, Lindsey Nicole Logan and his cat, Scooter. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16th at First Baptist Church, Hurst. Open visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Carl was born June 13th, 1941, in Plainview, Texas to parents, Cleston M. Logan and Edna Faye Logan. In 1957 he met and married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Eva June Holmes. Eventually Carl, Eva June and son, Cary, moved to the Smithfield area in the summer of 1978. Carl spent most of his life as an independent tool distributor for Snap-On tools where he made several friends that have lasted throughout his life. Not only was Carl an avid deer hunter, teaching his son and grandson everything he knew about the sport, he also carried a vast understanding of wildlife and nature which he passed on to his granddaughter Lindsey. He could never resist the chance to make a friendly pet out of a squirrel, or field mouse in his deer stand. Before Eva June’s passing her and Carl had been retired, giving them a chance to enjoy the unconditional love they shared. Carl will be deeply missed. His whit, endless wisdom, sharp tongue and ability to make anyone laugh will always be remembered.
