"Carolyn Ann Richmond, age 77, of Whitesboro, Texas, passed away in the loving arms of Jesus on the morning of February 6, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was born on November 12, 1946, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Elizabeth Marie Tyson and Lawrence Leon Cox. She grew up in Amarillo, Texas, where she sang in various school choirs and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1965. She met the love of her life, Jerry Kent Richmond, in Odessa, Texas, and they were later married on October 23, 1965. They made Richland Hills, Texas, their home from 1972 until 2007 when they moved to Tioga, Texas, to reside in their dream home during their retirement years. Before retirement, Carolyn received her Associate’s Degree from Tarrant County Junior College and enjoyed a long career as a dental hygienist. Carolyn loved traveling and was an avid cruiser. She took multiple cruise trips with her daughters and granddaughters, and most recently took her son on his first cruise. She’s been known to zip line, take helicopter tours over the Caribbean, swim with dolphins, and ride on horseback in the ocean.
Throughout her life, Carolyn touched the hearts of all who knew her with unwavering warmth and compassion.
