Colby was called to be a soldier in heaven on Thursday, June 25, 2015. There will be a Celebration on Life at 9:00 am Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at First Baptist Church Euless followed by burial at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. There will not be a Visitation.
Colby Michael Bozo was born on May 9, 1990 in Bedford, Texas to Michael and Delicia Bozo. Colby graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 2008. Colby was on the track team his junior and senior year. Colby joined the Army Reserves November 4, 2008. During Colby’s military career he was deployed in support of the Global War on Terror on two separate occasions and deployed for a year to Iraq from 2010 to 2011 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Colby was mobilized again in 2013 and deployed to Afghanistan for nine months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Colby received numerous military awards and campaign ribbons including The Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
He is survived by his wife Kristen Bozo and his newborn son, Brody; his parents, Mike and Delicia Bozo; brothers, Gabriel Bozo and Corey Bozo and wife Amanda; nieces, Emme and Lillie Bozo; grandparents, Harold and Nancy Montroy and Karen Winecoff; aunts, uncles, cousins and MANY other extended family, friends and military brothers and sisters.
Colby was one of a kind.
There will never be another Colby Michael Bozo. We love you buddy and can’t wait til we meet again in heaven.
