Deborah Ann Smith, 63, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019.
Services: A Visitation for Debbie will be held 10am - 12pm, Thursday, May 30th at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine. Memorial Services will follow at 3pm at North Texas Church of Christ, 1290 FM407, Justin, TX 76247.
While Debbie loved flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be given to the Kidney Cancer research Alliance in her name, at kccure.org/donate.
Debbie was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 6, 1955 to Malvin and Anna Price. Debbie lived in Roanoke, Texas for 32 years. She worked at the Bedford Senior Center for 18 years and the Hurst Senior Center for 9 years. She was married to the love of her life, Edgar Smith, for 37 years until he passed away in 2017. She attended the North Texas Church of Christ in Justin, Texas.
Debbie loved to paint and to teach senior citizens how to paint ceramics. She also enjoyed gardening and collecting beautiful angels. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, vacations to the beach and the annual family reunion, that she would anticipate and talk about frequently. She had recently discovered Facebook and loved it because it kept her even more connected to family that lived in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Minnesota. She leaves behind beautiful memories and priceless pictures of all her family adventures.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Malvin Price, Sr. ; step-father, Ward Smith and her husband, Edgar Smith.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Smith; daughter, Charity Decosta(Budd); sons, Brentley Smith(Heather), Blaine Smith(Candice), Brice Smith(Morty), Brian Smith and Brandon Smith(Jackie); grandchildren, Skyler Purcell(Desire), Braden Smith, Daniel Padilla and Savannah Spade; great-grandson, Onyx Purcell; siblings, David Price(Peggy), Georgina Perry (Donnie), Malvin Price(Connie) and James Smith, a host of many neighborhood children that she helped and fed and many more family and friends.
