Donald W. Watson left this earth on June 28, 2016, due to complications from pneumonia. He was 72 years of age.
Service: A memorial service and interment will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday in the DFW National Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to his favorite cause Autism Speaks, or the charity of your choice.
Donald was born in Dallas on Sept 12, 1943. He was larger than life and loved by everyone that knew him. Even after many surgeries and health problems over the past 15 years, he retained his wonderful sense of humor and doted on his family up to the day he died. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family.
Donald was preceded in passing by his parents, Oleta and Cletus Watson; and two younger sisters, Teresa Wallace and Donna Watson.
Survivors: Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Evelyn Watson; daughter, Marla Watson; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Emmaline Watson; beloved grandsons, Riley and Max; brothers-in-law, Steven and Tom Carlton, and Jerry Wallace; niece, Tracy and husband, David Copeland, and their children; nephew, Paul Wallace and wife, Lara, and their children; sister, Susie Short and husband, Jessie; and numerous cousins and other family members.
