Harry "Hank/Ed" Edward Rogish

Harry “Hank”/”Ed” Edward Rogish was born into the family of Boyd and Elaine Rogish on August
4, 1963 in Aliquippa, PA. He was born into the family of the faithful through Holy Baptism eight
days later on August 12, 1963 at Mount Pleasant United Presbyterian Church. Through Baptism,
the merciful Father in heaven washed Hank’s sins away, delivered him from death and the
devil, and gifted him with the faith in Christ to receive those blessings. Hank’s Baptism into
Christ made him an heir of God the Father. On May 21, 2024 Hank received the Father’s
inheritance when he was called from this earthly life to life eternal. Hank is now “away from the
body and at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Hank attended Bethel Christian School and graduated in 1981. He went on to study Bible
History at Bob Jones University (class of 1985) and Aircraft Maintenance at Greenville Technical
College (class of 1990). He then began his career as an Aircraft Mechanic at Lockheed Martin
and then American Airlines, where he worked for 34 years.
On May 26, 1994, Hank married Gloria Maria Gomez of Barranquilla, Colombia. They are
blessed with two children, Paul Vincent Rogish (28) and Paula Elaine Rogish (26). As baptized
children of God, they take comfort in Jesus who is the resurrection and the life.
Hank enjoyed a number of hobbies and interests in his free time. He loved hunting, fishing,
gardening, keeping up with his favorite baseball teams, The Pittsburgh Pirates, The Texas
Rangers, and The University of South Carolina Gamecocks, and enjoying the company of his
beloved cat, Snowball.
There was nothing more important to Hank than his Savior Jesus Christ and His Word. Hank
enjoyed a rich devotional life, reading the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions daily. Hank
found great comfort and delight in the freedom of the gospel at Immanuel Lutheran Church in
1998. His heart found rest not because, as Hank put it, “he repented enough, but because Jesus
forgave him enough.” There was nothing more important to Hank than his church, the place
where he regularly demonstrated love for his Savior. In 2010 Hank became a founding member
of Christ Alone Lutheran Church. Hank, his demeanor, his work ethic, and his devotion to the
Christ Alone mission were significant to its success that you see today. He canvassed. He stored
church furniture. He set up church and took down church. He served as president and elder. But
his biggest joy was hosting the annual Ascension Day Pig Roast.
Hank was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Rogish, and grandparents Harry Rodgers,
Justine Rodgers, Miles Rogish, and Catherine Rogish. He is survived by wife Gloria Rogish of Fort Worth, TX, son Paul Rogish of Fort Worth, TX, daughter Paula Rogish of Austin, TX, father Boyd Rogish and Bertha of Aliquippa, PA, brother Andy Rogish and family of York, PA, and brother Bob Rogish and family of Dividing Creek, NJ
The family will be receiving friends at the Chapel of the Bowden 1775 Keller Parkway Keller, TX
(817) 379-1775 on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will
follow at the Chapel of the Bowden at 11:00 a.m. The committal service will take place coach-
side immediately following the Christian Funeral. A reception luncheon for family and friends
will take place at 12 p.m. at the Bowden Banquet Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations be made to the Christ Alone Lutheran Church building fund, a cause Hank cared for
