Jimmie "Jim" Kaminski

Jimmie “Jim” Kaminski was born on June 28, 1940, in Tyler, Tx and passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Bedford, TX on April 28, 2023. Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from North Texas State University in Denton, TX. His professional carrier with the Boy Scouts of America spanned 40 years, when he retired in 2008 as the National Director of Public Safety and Security for Law Enforcement, Fire/Emergency Services, and Military Exploring. After retiring he continued to volunteer at the Boy Scouts of America Museum as a docent, and a crossing guard for this grandson’s school.

Jim married the love of his life Natlie Ann and shared 55 years together and had two children. His strong faith in God led him to dedicate himself to service in the church. He loved wholeheartedly, gave abundantly, and continuously put others before himself. He was a mentor to many, especially his children and grandchild modeling faith, love, commitment, sincerity, preparedness, strength, and generosity of time, talent, and treasures.

Jim never met a stranger and enjoyed interacting with all people. He always had a catch phrase or two or three, and always wanted to be sure you knew you mattered, no matter who you were. Jim had a special appreciation for oysters, rhubarb pie, BBQ at the Feed Store, and pizza at Campisi’s. Jim enjoyed any chance to gather with friends and family, see a movie, hunt, fish, landscape, or travel with his wife for a weekend getaway. Jim was preceded in death by parents Erich Kaminski and Elaine Kaminski. Jim leaves behind wife Natlie Kaminski; brother Ronald Kaminski and wife Mary Jane; children Matt Kaminski and wife Dee; Monica Anne Kaminski; and grandson Austin Pierce Busceme.
