John Rodriguez Campos, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on January 20th, 2024.
John Rodriguez Campos, Jr. was born April 2nd, 1944 to loving parents Juan and Carmen (Rodriguez) Campos in Waco, Texas. John grew up in a busy household with his seven siblings, and graduated from Waco High School. He then completed a welding program and began his career. With hard work and determination he became a toolmaker in the aerospace industry. During this time he received numerous awards and recognitions, having worked on top secret military projects such as the Space Shuttle and the Stealth B-2 Bomber, among many other projects before he retired.
John married the love of his life, Lilia Martinez on December 19th, 1964, and they cherished the almost 60 years they spent as husband and wife. John and Lilia were blessed with a daughter, Christine, and the family grew in the love of the Lord.
John was a man of the outdoors, and could be regularly found on the golf course, working in his garden, fishing, or in the woods on a hunting trip. He took great joy in cooking as well. John also loved spending time with family and friends, watching football and baseball whenever he could.
John was so dearly loved by those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Carmen Campos; his sister, Janie Ortega; and his brother, Delfino Campos.
John is survived by his adoring wife, Lilia Campos; his daughter, Christine Bauchert and her husband Jeff; his granddaughter, Caitlin Houston and her husband Braden; his siblings, Albert Campos, Manuel Campos, Paul Campos, Connie Ramon, and Irene Casas; his 6 nieces and 5 nephews; and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.
