NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Keith Richard Phelps, born Aug. 21, 1931, in Trenton, Neb., passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, 76053, followed by interment in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth 76112. Viewing: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.
A retiree of Bell Helicopter, where he was a precision machinist, Keith loved to travel with Doris and spend time with his large family and many precious friends. He was very active in his church, St. Paul United Methodist in Hurst.
Keith was preceded by his parents, Clifford Phelps and Maude Phelps; all five of his siblings; and his son, John Keith Phelps.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Doris Ann Dykes Phelps; daughters, Sharilyn Phelps of Hudson, N.H., Pamela Thunstrom of Nashua, N.H., and Terri Lynn Moore and husband, Greg, of Brandon; stepdaughters, Susan Anderson and husband, Jeff, of Decatur, Shari Shivers and husband, Rick, of Fort Worth. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Sharon Kaufman, Dustin Sprott, Hollie Carlyle, Austin Anderson, Sara Shivers, Emily Shivers, Abby Shivers, Samantha Thunstrom, Jake Thunstrom, Jennifer Tustin, Carolee Tustin, Josiah Tustin and Jared Tustin; five great-grandchildren, Haden, Hunter, Jon Michael, Madison and Bryce; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he cherished and would spend time with as often as he could.
