IN LOVING MEMORY
Lisa Lynn Chavez was born in Albany, Georgia, September 1, 1965. She passed away peacefully Sunday, October 25, 2020 at her home of natural causes in Hurst, Texas. Lisa is survived by her father, Donald Manual Chavez of Bowdon, Georgia, sister, Shari Lynette Chavez Ergle and nephew, Kyle Avery Ergle of Daniel Island, South Carolina.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Ann (Black) Chavez. Lisa grew up in New Whiteland, Indiana, moved to Georgia in 1986 with her family, then made Texas her home in 2009 so she could be closer to her Aunt Penny and Uncle Mike Black. After 20 years of service with the United States Federal Government, she dedicated her time caring for her mother before passing in 2007. Lisa was working fulltime from home due to the pandemic as a Customer Service Representative in the Unemployment Program for the Texas Workforce Commission. She was continuing her education to earn a degree in Accountancy. Lisa’s true love and calling was being a proud Aunt.
She always had a special love for children and took pride in Agape Parenting. She truly enjoyed volunteering her time, gifts and talents with others. Lisa was a Christian, attended Meadow Creek Baptist church in Bedford, Texas, enjoyed playing the flute, reading, playing games and cards, crocheting and needle work. She loved traveling to surprise family and friends no matter the distance, and was known for her hugs and jolly laughter.
Lisa’s gentle nature and fun loving soul was felt by everyone she knew. A legacy that will remain in our hearts and lives forever.
Soar like an eagle and rest in God’s presence until we meet again someday.
