Milton Arthur Whitham

Milton Arthur Whitham, age 78, of Bedford, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Milton was born on December 26, 1940 in Santa Rita, New Mexico to the late Latham Earl Whitham and Delma Doreen Poindexter Whitham. He was a graduate of University of New Mexico. Milton proudly served our county during Vietnam in the United States Navy. He worked as a software writer at IBM and retired after 26 years of service. Milton was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Duncan. He is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Jessie “Louise” Blair Whitham of Bedford, Texas; beloved son, Milton “Art” Whitham and wife, Harmony of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Tyrone Wardle and wife, Melissa; Laura Miller and husband, Will, Tiffany Barbica, Cortney Barbica, and Kenny Whitham; one great-granddaughter, Nevaeh; brother, Joe Whitham and wife, Barbara of Grand Prairie, Texas; and sister-in-law, Geri Etheridge and husband, Jim of San Angelo, Texas; nieces and nephews; Tonya, Cecily, Donna, Shawn, Paul and Sherry.
A committal service will be held at 1:15 P.M. on Monday, February 25, 2019 with military honors at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Hurst, Texas.
