Robert Lewis Stumph, formerly of College Place, WA, passed away at home in Burleson, TX. He was 76. Bob was born March 16, 1942 in San Francisco, CA to Arnold and Helene Heyer Stumph. Bob grew up in College Place, WA. He graduated from Rio Lindo Academy, Healdsburg, CA in 1963. He was drafted into the US Army in 1964 and was honorably discharged for medical reasons one year later. He then attended Walla Walla College in College Place, WA where he received degrees in theology and religion in 1970. Bob married Gail K. Hubbard in 1968 in Hoquiam, WA and they were happily married for 50 years. Bob was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and enjoyed pastoring in South Dakota, Washington, Oregon, and Texas. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Bob is survived by his wife Gail of Burleson, TX; his sons Johnathan (Wendy) Stumph of Birmingham, AL, Sammy (Sara) Stumph of Burleson, TX, and Joshua (Janeen) Stumph of Granbury, TX; siblings Arla Mae (Al) Gross of Salem, OR, David Stumph of West Minster, CO, Patty (Paul) Cochran of Vancouver, WA, Pam (Phil) Thompson of Madison, TN, and Greg (Kari) Stumph of Arroyo Grande, CA; and his grandsons Kinley, Matthew, Nicolas, and Antonio. The memorial service will be at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, TX with burial at Burleson Memorial Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be held in the chapel at the funeral home on Thursday, March 14, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Good Neighbor SDA Church, PO Box 1832, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
