Adolph Seymour Wohl was born on March 10, 1929 in New York, New York to the late Irving Wohl and Johannah (Rose) Wohl. He passed away on April 24, 2020 at his residence in Hurst, Texas.
He preferred to be called Addie by his friends and family. Thoughtfulness, kindness and respect for others was his way. His friends, family and past employees had a great deal of respect and admiration for Addie because of how he treated people regardless of their race, religion or social status. Patience, being slow to anger and compassion always graced his disposition. He was also extremely intelligent, well organized and possessed an amazing memory. He never wavered from his innate humility. Because of these qualities and many more, he was highly respected and deeply loved by those who knew him.
He proudly served in both the Army and Air Force from 1947 to 1959. Following his military career he began his work career at United States Cold Storage as a checker and advanced to Vice President and Manager over his 39 years.
After retiring he loved to travel with his wife Orvie and together they went to 64 countries on a total of 6 continents. He was an avid stamp and coin collector throughout his life. He also enjoyed woodwork of many kinds, particularly making birdhouses for anyone who wanted one. His focus on birdhouses seems to reflect his love of nature, especially wildlife.
