Alan Ray Easley went to the Cougar Car Club in the sky on Monday morning, November 27th. Alan was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many who admired him for his kind heart and generous spirit – even if he seemed a little grumpy sometimes.
Alan was always ready to lend a hand and would drop everything for a friend in need. His flaw was that he didn’t readily ask for help himself. Alan and Gail were always inviting friends and family over for dinner or even to stay in their home when they had lost their way or just needed a place to land for a short time. That even applied to dogs in the way that temporary arrangements became permanent lifelong companions.
While working at Southwestern Drug, Alan found an interest in computers and the love of his life, Gail. He furthered his career in computer technology at IBM where he worked for over 20 years with an interlude at Cook Children’s Medical Center. In 2001, Alan started his own computer consulting business and earlier this year joined O’Reilly Auto Parts Corporate Office.
Alan enjoyed working on anything with an engine and spent many hours doing just that with friends and especially with his son, Michael. He and his family were active members of the Lone Star Cougar Club and the North Texas Mustang Club. Gail and Alan traveled to many car shows, making great lifelong friends through their love of cars.
