Albert Arthur Yarger

Albert Al Yarger, 66, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053. Ken Horton from McKinney Bible Church will officiate.
Al was born February 7, 1949 in Shelby, Ohio. He graduated from Crestview High School in Ashland, Ohio in 1967, attended the United Electronics Institute in Akron, Ohio in 1969, the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio in 1976 with a BA in Int'l Relations, and BA in Geography, then a MBA in 1978 from Thunderbird, Phoenix, Arizona and the Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School in 1981.
He Served in the US Navy as an Electronic Technician 3rd Class Petty Officer, 1969-1973. Al retired as a Navy Commander as an Aviation Maintenance Officer, 1981-2003.
He worked for General Dynamics/Lockheed Corp. as a Logistics Engineer, 1988-1994. Al then went to work with American Airlines as a Material Analyst, Project Planner, and Production Planner, April 1996-August 2012.
He volunteered as United Way Campaign Coordinator, Alliance Air Show volunteer, Presbyterian Night Shelter food preparer, American Airlines AFW Scholarship Committee Chairman, Naval Reserve Association member, McKinney Memorial Bible Church Foreign Missions Committee member, two church foreign mission trips team member, and numerous church leadership teams. Al lived in Fort Worth, Texas and was a member of McKinney Memorial Bible Church, since 1988.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil L. Yarger, January 1992, Florence N. Yarger, March 2000, and son Neil D. Yarger, May 2011.
Survivors: Daughters, Tera White and Janell Yarger of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Sean, Christina, Abigail White, and Lucas Yarger; brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Marilee Yarger of Mansfield, Ohio.
