Alexius “Al” John Fodor, Jr. 76, of Keller passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association
Al was born in New York City, NY to the late Alexius and Dorothea Fodor and grew up in the Bronx and Pennsylvania. Al served in the United States Air Force. He started his career in the banking industry on Wall Street in New York, where he met Anna. Al worked as an executive for Pearl Vision Center for over 17 years which brought him to the North Texas area in 1981. His next chapter took him into the computer world where he owned his own business and later worked at Data Magic Inc., until he retired in October 2015. He was passionate about food, music, travel and everything associated with New York City. He was a die-hard Giants and Yankees fan.
Al was preceded in death by his sister, Carol McCabe.
Survivors: He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Anna Fodor and daughters Dawn Uhl and son in law Brent and Alana Cope and son in law Christopher. He was a devoted “PaPa” to Isabella, Luke, Tye and Ava. He is survived by his sister Anna Mae Fitzsimmons and brother in law Tom, and nephews and their families.and is preceded in death by his sister Carol McCabe.
