Alfred Minh Gomez Iii

January 26, 2008 — December 11, 2023

With heavy hearts we honor the memory of a remarkable young soul, Alfred Minh (AJ), born on January 26th 2008. Though his time with us was far too brief, the impact he made on our lives and the love he shared will forever echo in our hearts.

AJ was a kind young man who embodied the spirit of adventure and curiosity. Wrestling and boxing were his passion from middle school, where he learned the craft, through high school, where he earned a varsity jacket. Wrestling wasn't just about physical strength; it was a testament to his determination, discipline, and desire to be part of a team. Both of his wrestling and boxing coaches had such a strong, positive influence on AJ, and we thank them. With the support and guidance of all his coaches and teachers, he brought that same tenacity and resilience to everything he did. This included his years in the Boy Scouts, and enjoying all the outdoor adventures such as hiking in Colorado, scuba diving in the Florida Keys and mastering basic camping and life skills…all with a positive “can do” attitude.

His inquisitive mind was truly a gift. AJ had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a curiosity that knew no bounds. He approached every opportunity to learn with eagerness, soaking up information like a sponge. His intelligence was matched only by his willingness to share his knowledge with others, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer guidance.

Beyond his achievements, AJ was a beacon of light within his family. He cherished his loved ones deeply, and his bond with each member was a testament to his kind and caring nature. His presence brought joy, laughter, and an abundance of love to those around him.

As we navigate through this difficult time, let us remember AJ for the incredible person he was—a young man whose enthusiasm for life was infectious, whose kindness was a guiding light, and whose impact on those around him will never fade.

Though he may no longer be physically with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear. Let us carry forward the lessons he taught us—the importance of perseverance, the joy found in learning, and the power of love and family.

AJ, you may have left this world too soon, but your legacy will continue to inspire us. Rest peacefully, dear soul. You will forever remain in our hearts.
