Alfred Joseph Grasso of Fort Worth Texas, passed away on February 28th 2022 at Whitley Place nursing home in Keller, Texas. He will always be remembered as a fun loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew and loved him. Alfred was born on August 29th, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. He lived many years in New York until moving to Texas in 2013. Alfred was a faithful husband for 56 years to his wife Arlene Grasso, a dedicated father to his daughter Lisa Rubio and her husband Jeffrey , to his son Jeffrey and his wife Sharon. He was an amazing grandfather to his grandson Matthew and his wife Katelyn, his granddaughters Sara, Sydney and Camryn and his youngest grandson Jeffrey. Alfred was a loving brother to Thomas Grasso. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Alfio and Mary Grasso, and his brother Joseph Grasso. Besides being devoted to his family, Alfred was a kind hearted happy go lucky kind of man. He loved being funny and spending quality time with his friends and family either at home or going out to eat. He loved listening to music and watching James Bond movies. Alfred enjoyed playing golf with his son and grandson. He worked for the city of New York for 25 years in civil service then worked for several water main and sewer companies . Eventually with his son Jeffrey they operated and owned their own construction company.
The memorial service will be held at Fellowship of the Parks Church located at 9900 N Beach Street, Fort Worth, TX 76244 on March 12th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Alfred's honor to the Alzheimer's Association at Alz.org/donate.
