Alice H. Burkhardt

TROPHY CLUB -- Alice H Burkhardt, a longtime resident of Trophy Club, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine. Following the service, everyone is invited to join the family for refreshments. Interment: 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 28, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org , or the American Heart Association, www.heart.org .
Alice was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Plains, Kan. She was a licensed Realtor in Texas since 1978. She received multiple awards for top sales producer, multi-million-dollar producer and elite executive club. She loved being with her kids and grandkids, cooking and teaching others to cook and collecting recipes. She had an extensive knowledge of antiques and collectibles and enjoyed looking for and discovering those hard-to-find items. She liked and was successful working the word games every morning.
Her interests included cooking, investments, a challenging game of blackjack and basking in the sun.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Rowena Harris; and a son, Ed Burkhardt.
Survivors: Husband, Harry Burkhardt; son, Martin Burkhardt and wife, Susan; daughter, Barbara Griffin; grandchildren, Nathan Burkhardt and wife, Kristen, Daniel Burkhardt and wife, Katelyn, and Brian Griffin and wife, Emma; great-grandchildren, Austin, Collin, Dylan, Carli, Hailey and Aidan; brother, Elvin Harris and wife, Hennie; sisters, Katherine White and Vera Mae Winfrey; and sisters-in-law, Pearl Harris and JoAnn Harris.
