Alice Harney

December 21, 1935 — November 20, 2022

Alice Harney, resident of Burleson, Texas formerly of Brampton, Ontario, Canada passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2022 at the age of 86 years.

Alice was an only child who was raised by her Ukrainian mother Rose and Russian father Arthur. As a child Alice was active in the local Toronto Gymnast Group and played violin in the school orchestra. She graduated at the age of 16 and worked as a dress maker and later a banker.

Alice was independent and strong willed. She was detail oriented as well as kind, generous and loyal.

Sewing, cooking, traveling, casinos and bingo were some of her interests.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband Mel and her son Ed.

Survivors include her children Tracy Rose and Kelly Lee; grandchildren Stephen, Briyanna, Noel, Ellie, and Payton.

Alice was loved by her pets Chicco, Raven, Luna, Lalitta and Trasher. She will be greatly missed by her caregiver and best friend Alma.

Memorial Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s and Arlington Animal Shelter.
