HURST -- Alma Cannon, 74 peacefully passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at a Paris, Texas, healthcare facility.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 p.m. Monday before the service.
Alma was born May 8, 1938, to William Clarence Duke and Bessie Lorene Gibson in Brownfield and was a longtime resident of Hurst. She was a nurse in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area. She loved her family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Alma was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Duke; sister, Barbara Adams; and ex-husband, Donnie Cannon.
Survivors: Daughter, Deaun Jackson and husband, Richard, of Paris, Texas; sons, Steve Cannon from Bogata, Shaun Cannon and his wife, Dawn, from Azle; sisters, Kay Picon and husband, Pete, from San Angelo, Camille Mansker and husband, Barry, of Lubbock and Tonya Ray of Lubbock; grandchildren, Tiffany Stefan, Brian and Craig Cannon, Deanna Gall, Dakota Jackson; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
