Amy Hornsby, of North Richland Hills, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2023.
Amy always looked at life through a glass half full. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many.
She was born on June 3, 1930, in Mead, Oklahoma to Cassie Lillian Rowland Willis and Paul Hampton Willis.
She loved and enjoyed her family and friends and was very involved in her church and Bible Study Group. She was always ready to go out to eat or go on a road trip.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father Cassie and Paul Willis, her brother Rowland Gene Willis, her husband George Jenkins Hornsby, Jr., her son Howard Wayne Hornsby and her sister Tahwahnah Rue James.
Amy is survived by her son Paul Hornsby and wife Mae, grandchildren Amy and Johnny Joubert and great grandchildren Julia, Zach, and Zoe all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her son David Hornsby and wife Erika, and grandchildren Rylie and Reagan all of Bluff Dale, Texas and nieces Tahrahn Burris and Shawnda Singletary.
The funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Wellspring Church in North Richland Hills, Texas. Interment at the Fort Worth National Cemetery will follow at a later date.
