As we enter 2020, we remember the beautiful soul of Amy Marie Duncan who has passed away far too soon at the young age of 32 years.
Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude, top 15 percent of her class, from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and minor in Business. Her motivational quote was “Don’t settle for just ok. Instead, find what genuinely makes you happy.” She went on to pursue a career in Pharmaceutical Sales and any other avenue that allowed her to be successful and build relationships with people.
Growing up, Amy had one of the bubbliest and happiest personalities, her energy was contagious. She studied hard but dance and cheerleading competitions were her life - and the source of her closest friendships. Her younger sister Katy would always sneak clothes from her closet as they became the same size. And while it frustrated Amy to no end, she loved Katy with every ounce of her being.
Amy Idolized how hard her mother worked as a physical therapy assistant, and her love for her father was unconditional. She also had two older sisters Jen and Angela whom she absolutely loved and admired.
She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Luckey and Toni Duncan; sister, Angie Duncan and her children, D'Aries Duncan and Labron McCray; sister, Jennifer and her husband, Kight Haberer and children, Taylor, Koah, and Kelvin; sister, Katy Duncan; uncles and aunts, Steven and Missy Kirchem, Karen and Ken Hallmark, Chris and Jennifer Kirchem, Missy Oujesky, Shirley and Jerry Pope, Audrey and Clyde Roberts, Ron Duncan, and Arlene and Frank Hubbard; cousins, Nick, Kyle, Melanie, and Scott, Emory, Bethany, and Trinity, Natalie, Damian, Laila, Tony, Christy, and Terry, Danny and Chris.
Please join her family and friends in honoring her memory during her Celebration of Life ceremony at Lucas Funeral Home held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053.
Amy's journey was cut far too short and she was loved by so many. May her spirit rest peacefully and our memories of her be cherished. No one can ever replace her in our hearts.
