Once upon a time a baby boy named Andrew Nunnally Jr. was born to Andrew Nunnally Sr. and Margaret Nunnally (Midwife: Emma Brown) on January 25, 1946 at 8:00am in Grenada, Mississippi. He adored his beautiful and vivacious wife Rev. Dr. Elnora Maria Nunnally (Nunley). The Lord called him home on July 9, 2023 at 1:40pm.
He was a loving, devoted, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend for over 57 years. He adored his vivacious wife Rev. Dr. Elnora Maria Nunnally (Nunley). Who He married August 21, 1965, at Marshalltown United Methodist Church. He was a servant leader at First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Windsor Village UMC, Asbury Memorial UMC, St. Mark UMC, Jones Chapel UMC, Hawkins UMC, Bethlehem UMC, Jacksonville UMC, Union UMC, and Bedford First UMC. He was a trustee board member, lay leader, certified lay speaker, lay servant, and prayer warrior, usher, volunteered at project HELP, and a Pastor’s armor bearer for Pastor Andrew Johnson in Augusta Ga., Pastor Kirby Jon Caldwell in Houston Texas and (Rev. Dr. Elnora Nunnally’s special armor bear and enforcer).
Andrew, attended Roosevelt High School, Class of 1967, He boxed as an amateur boxer in CYO tournaments City and National level. Also turned a Professional Boxer in 1968 in San Diego California. His career other than boxing begin at Scot-Lad Foods in 1965 in Chicago Illinois, Roh Aircraft in 1968, U.S Steel Mill, Gary Indiana, Harbison & Walker as a Former Press Operator-Brick Maker, in Hammond Indiana for 10 years or more, United Workers Union, SRS- Aiken, South Carolina, Westinghouse Savannah River Company Bechtel Savannah River, Inc. and City of Houston Utility Worker and retired in 2009 from Waste Water Department, in the City of Houston.
Family: He leaves to cherish memories, his beloved wife: Rev. Dr. Elnora Maria Nunnally (Nunley) for 57 and ¾ years. 2 Daughters: Danita (Eric) Holland, San Antonia Texas, Lisa (Rev.Tracey Boyd, Superintendent of COGIC), Clarksville, Tenn. 1 Son: Rev. Dr. Andrew Nunley III, Bedford Texas. 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, cousins and friends. Andrew, also had over 5,000 FB friends who he enjoyed communicating with on a daily bases.
He was preceded in death by: Grandfather William Harris, Grandmother Elizabeth Harris, and Father: Andrew Nunnally Sr. (Nunley), Mother: Margaret Morris, Son: Isaiah Nunley, Daughter: Aquanetta Nunley and Grandson: Christopher Paul Holland, and Aunts and Uncles.
