Ann L. Kennemer, 86 of Burleson passed peacefully from this life early Sunday morning, January 15, with her family by her side. Ann was a former teacher who never ceased helping others learn the intricacies of mathematics. She was a computer programmer for Monroe Calculator for many years prior to becoming a national software buyer for Tandy Corporation before retirement. Even after retirement, Ann never stopped trying new things. You would find her taking art classes and painting pictures for everyone or making quilts, clothes and doll clothes for her many grandkids, great-grandkids and friends. Ann had a lifelong love of playing bridge and achieved Life Master status. She will be missed by her many “bridge buddies” and friends at the senior center in Burleson.
Ann was preceded in death by her three siblings and her husband, Robert L Kennemer. Ann is survived by her daughter, Valorie Wortman and husband Jerry of Burleson, son, David Cooper and fiancée Kim Webber of Whiskey Flat, daughter Terrie Prather and husband Toney of De Leon and son, Charlie Cooper and wife Lori of La Porte, IN, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Ann will be Sunday, February 5 at 3:00 PM in the Lucas & Blessing chapel in Burleson. Interment will be a family burial at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 6 in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Ann may be made to the Burleson Senior Activity Center, 216 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson or the Hospice House at Huguley, 301 Medpark Circle, Burleson, TX 76028.
