Annette Mahler passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday, June 18, 2015 after falling on June 3, in her home, where she lived with her beloved puppy Sammy. She sustained a head injury and just could not recover from it. She died peacefully in her sleep.
Annette was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Early in her life the family moved to Broadview, Illinois. She attended Proviso High School and then the University of Illinois. On May 9, 1947 she married Glenn Morris Mahler and they were together until his death in 1994. They were married 47 years. Together they had three children. As the children grew, Annette worked as a receptionist/secretary in the dental field. After retirement she and Glenn owned several very successful businesses in Texas and Arizona - a gift shop, two art galleries and a candle shop. Later they managed a corporate home in Rancho Mirage, California entertaining people from all over the world. One of Annette’s hobbies was traveling, especially on cruise ships. She was fortunate enough to travel world wide.
Annette moved to Robson Ranch in 2004. Through the years she made a multitude of friends, all of whom she dearly loved. She was very active in the Robson Ranch Singles Club.
Annette was a beautiful, vibrant, active and independent woman who always wanted to help in any way she could, whether to be on a committee or help someone in need.
Annette was preceded in death by her husband, her youngest son, Russell William Mahler, and her beloved Bichon, Sissy. She is survived by her son Glenn Richard Mahler, her daughter Sandra Lee Mahler Teer and her son-in-law George Allen Teer, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and sisters Betty Paul, Joanne Rante and Sally Kalusa.
Annette will be missed by many.
