Antoinette Sangiorgi, known to many as Toni, was embraced by her Heavenly Father and taken home on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the age of 83.
Service: 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 1601 South Main Street, Keller, TX 76248.
Toni was born February 21, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY to Anella and Ralph Cassese. She was raised in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to southern California with her husband, John Sangiorgi, where they raised their children. Her and John, followed their daughter and her family to Seattle, WA and then to Fort Worth, TX where they’ve lived since 2003. She loved life and lived it to the fullest! She devoted her life to God, family, and friends. She was a traditional Italian woman. She was an excellent cook and never had to follow a recipe. She enjoyed getting together with the whole family every Sunday for a traditional, Italian meal. Toni knew how to throw the best parties that everyone always looked forward to attending. Toni enjoyed spending time with family and traveling to visit relatives. She loved to sing and dance, regardless of where she was. She made friends with everyone she met. She loved everyone and they loved her back. She’s a fighter and battled cancer for many years. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on forever.
Survivors: Toni is survived by her childhood sweetheart of 64 years, John Sangiorgi; son, John Sangiorgi Jr. and his wife Susan Nelson, and his daughters Natalie Svaty and Christina Sangiorgi; daughter, Carol Bigler and her husband Ken Bigler, and their daughters Andrea Caffey, Marissa Reyna, and Julia Bigler; along with seven great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Bruno and her husband Lou Bruno, and their son Jim Bruno and daughters Jennifer Bixby and Dianne Stomber; sister-in-law Rose Borges and her husband Vince Borges, and their son Fredrick Borges and daughter Valerie Roberts; along with several great-nephews; and countless friends who were all loved.
