Ardean Martin Shafer

Ardean Martin Shafer passed away on February 22, 2021. He was 83 years of age.

Service: 2:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2021 at Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: 3 to 5 pm Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Lucas Funeral home in Keller.

Ardean was born on November 4, 1937 to C.B. Shafer and Daisy Harris in Lake Dallas, Texas. He attended both Keller High School and the University of North Texas. Ardean married the loved of his life, Kathryn on August 28, 1958. He proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lt. Colonel. Ardean was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Ardean is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathryn Sue Shafer; sister, Ann; brother, William; son, Zan (Brenda); daughter, Tonja (Jeff); grandchildren, Zanna (JJ), Trace (Mariah), Connor (Zane), and Tristan (Jennalyn); and 5 great grandchildren.
