Ardith May Meilander

Ardith Meilander, 85, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born in Kipton, Ohio in 1931. Ardith had lived in Camden Township, Ohio until moving to Watauga, Texas in 2007.
Ardith graduated in 1950 from Camden High School in Kipton, OH. Ardith went back to school after having 4 children to pursue a career as a nurse. She worked at Mercy Allen Hospital (formerly Allen Memorial Hospital) in Oberlin, Ohio for 20 years.
Ardith was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Robert N. Meilander; her son Martin J. Meilander; her parents Theodore and Esther Hill Brunger and brother Ronald Brunger.
Ardith is survived by her sons Richard N. Meilander of Riverview, MI and Robert D. Meilander of Kipton, OH; daughter Debra M. Young of Watauga, TX; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorial service will be planned for mid July at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Axtel, OH.
