Arsenio Vega Rodriguez, 55, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Fort Worth, TX.
Visitation: 5-8 pm Wednesday, April 26 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst
Services: 2 pm Thursday, April 27 at Gateway Church, North Fort Worth Campus 4209 Basswood Blvd. in Fort Worth.
Inurnment Ceremony will be Wednesday, May 3rd at 3:15 pm at Dallas/Fort Worth Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Procession to the cemetery from Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst at 2 pm.
Arsenio was born in New York City, NY in 1961 to Aida Rodriquez and Arsenio Vega Sr. He is the older of three children.

In February 1970 Arsenio, his parents and sisters, moved to Puerto Rico and resided with family until he joined the Army in October of 1980. He graduated from high school in 1979 from Luz America Calderon before leaving from the Army. Arsenio married his high school sweetheart Marlie Vega January 9, 1981.

He finished his career with the Army at Fort Hood as a Sergeant and always remembered his time in the Army as one of his best. He was in the 2nd Armored Division in the M1A2 Abrams tank. His first daughter, Jessica, was born in 1984 in Ft. Hood.

By the end of 1986 he returned to Puerto Rico and started his career with American Airlines. He transferred to Dallas/Fort Worth and completed a 30 year career with American before his passing.

In 1988, his second daughter Melissa Vega was born and 1989 his third child, Arsenio Vega III, was born in Euless, TX.

Arsenio has always had a passion for motorcycles and after his divorce in 2007, he found riding a relaxing way to pass the time. He enjoyed delivering toys and helping Veterans on his bike. He was a part of several veteran riding clubs and found a new brotherhood with this fellow veteran riders.

In September 2012 he married his friend Julie Vega. During this time he became more of a friend and supportive role model. Still riding, but going on more family vacations and getaways. He enjoyed going to cabins and weekend camping trips. They were divorced in May of 2015.

After his divorce, Arsenio met his wife and lifelong loving companion, Ashley. They were married in 2016. They enjoyed adopting and helping stray animals together. He and Ashley rode, traveled and to enjoyed time with his 6 grandchildren.

Arsenio was a loving husband and an incredible father and grandfather. One of his biggest joys was spending time with his grandchildren.

Arsenio is survived by his wife; three children; six grandchildren; mother and two sisters.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandmother.
