HURST -- Arthur Thurlow Erickson, 92, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Art was born July 17, 1921, in Cadillac, Mich. He served his country with honor in World War II. Art had a long, distinguished career with the FAA and was a pioneer in the air transport industry.
Art was an avid golfer. He was very active in church life and dedicated to Christ.
Art was preceded in death by his fist wife, Leona Weimer Erickson; sister, Lois Bechelic; and mother, Ethel Erickson.
Survivors: Wife, Dottie Erickson; daughter, Shirley and Dr. Ken Rundell; son, Buzz and Chris Erickson; stepchildren, Debra and Chuck Carter and John and Loretta Meritt; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
