Audrey Elizabeth Krolick

Audrey Elizabeth Krolick, 89, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in North Richland Hills.
Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, July 11 at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 PM Friday at Lucas Funeral Home.
Audrey was born June 8, 1926, in Toronto, Canada, to Jordan and Minnie Snelgrove. An only child, she was raised in Brooklyn, NY; among her fondest memories of childhood were the many summers spent at the Salvation Army Bible Camp in New Jersey with her closest friend. Growing up during the depression, she went to work at IBM as a key punch operator. During WWII, she always looked forward to spending time with friends who were in the military when they were home on leave in New York City. She left that job to marry the love of her life, John Krolick, on May 12, 1945, and start a family.
They relocated to Northern California in 1955 with John’s employment, and spent many happy years in Hayward and Fremont before another relocation in 1971, this time to Southern CA, where she began working for the retail store The Broadway in Huntington Beach. One of her favorite pastimes on weekends was to take a drive to the Dana Point Harbor, browse the shops on the pier, and enjoy a good meal while watching the sailboats in the harbor.
In 1988, retirement took them to Las Vegas, NV, where they spent 17 lively years, where they spent 17 lively years. They made many friends through joining a ballroom dance group that met every weekend, and especially loved when family and friends came to visit. They were sure to show you a great time when you were in their company. 2006 brought them to Keller, TX, to be with family.
Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all, but will on forever in the hearts and treasured memories of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Krolick, in 2008; grandson, Peter Danner, in 1983; and her parents, Jordan and Minnie Snelgrove.
Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Danner (Ron), and son, David Krolick (Ellie); grandchildren, Stacey Tarpley (Jon); Holly Willmon (Nathan); Stephen Krolick; and Ryan Krolick; and great-grandchildren, Cory Willmon, Chase Willmon, and Ciera Willmon.
