Aurora Alcala Flores, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on Monday December 14, 2020 in Fort Worth, Tx. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and loyal prayer warrior to all that knew and loved her. She was born on March 3, 1927 in Benjamin, Tx. to Ignancio and Maria Reyes Alcala. Aurora grew up as the youngest of nine children, she was a hard-worker, devoted wife and mother, and let’s not forget an elite shopper. She made the best bologna sandwiches on the planet, and she worked at Allen High School in Allen Texas, with her loving spouse Louis until retirement in 1999. Aurora and her niece/best friend were the first in the family to come to know the Lord and they played a huge role in leading the rest of the family to Him. Aurora is survived by her two daughters; Betty Reyes and son-in-law Emilio Reyes Jr. of Haslet, Texas, Ruth Tonche and son-in-law Wally Tonche of Denton, Texas; Two sons, Louis Flores Jr. and daughter-in-law Yolanda Flores of Arlington, Texas, Joe Flores Sr. of Beaumont, Texas. Nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Louis Flores Sr., her four sisters, and five brothers, one grandson Joe Flores Jr. and one great grandson Joe Flores III. The visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday December 17, 2020 at Lucas Funeral Home 1601 South Main street, Keller, Tx 76248. The Celebration of Life, will be held at 1pm on Friday December 18, 2020 at Lucas funeral home. Interment will follow at Bourland cemetery 901 Bourland Rd., Keller, Texas 76248 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s association @ act.alz.org.
