Austin Kelly Mitchell

August 3, 2000 — February 9, 2023

Austin Kelly Mitchell, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend, passed away on February 9, 2023.

Austin is the oldest child of Casey and LaChandra Mitchell. Born on August 3, 2000 in Fort Worth, Texas, Austin grew up enjoying reading, playing the piano and saxophone, playing games, hiking, and serving others. Austin developed a love for others at an early age as he participated in missions at NorthWood Church. Developing a heart for those in need, Austin pursued opportunities to engage in ministry and service that spanned the globe.

Austin graduated from Central High School in Keller, Texas in May 2018. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Houston in May of 2022. Upon graduating from college Austin began searching for opportunities to serve others through many avenues.

Austin is survived by his parents (Casey and LaChandra Mitchell), his sister (Keely Mitchell), his aunts and uncles (TJ and Lisa Hall, Heath and Rhonda Hayes, Kirby and Cristina Mitchell), his cousins (Brooklyn Gastineau and husband Beau, Brandon Hayes and fiancé Gabby Harber, Hudson Hayes, Keaton Hayes, Robin Wilke and husband Jacob, Enrique De Los Santos, Heidi De Los Santos, and Danny De Los Santos), grandmother (JoAn Hale Mitchell), numerous great aunts and uncles, countless second cousins, and a host of friends.

Austin is preceded in death by his grandparents (Jim and Brenda Hall, Kelly and Carol Mitchell).

Austin was created and defined by his Heavenly Father. And he is represented by a life well lived. His beautiful life has made a lasting impact on all who knew him, and his passing leaves his family and friends longing for more time with him. He will be greatly missed.
