Barbara Angell

Barbara Angell was born on January 25, 1946 and passed away on November 13, 2017. She is survived by her beloved husband, Don Angell; step-children Donna Bishop, Kathy Angell, Patty Angell and Donald Angell as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara was born in Amarillo, Texas and grew up in the Ft. Worth area. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1964 and attended Ft. Worth Beauty College. She went on to work as a beautician in the TCU area of Ft Worth for many years. Barbara went to work for Motorola in 1980 and then worked for Kimberly Clark where she retired after 15 years.

Barbara married Don Angell on September 5, 1978 and the were together almost 40 years. Her best childhood memories were visiting her grandparent’s farm as a child. She loved reading, dancing, all types of music and hanging out with her husband watching college football games (especially TCU). Barbara also loved the movies, particularly old westerns, and her favorite actors included Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and James Stewart. She enjoyed exercising, decorating her home, and visiting with her family and friends. Barbara was an avid collector of elephant keepsakes because she said that they bring “good luck” (especially when their trunks are up).

Barbara was a quiet, kind and gentle person who enjoyed taking care of the people that she loved and bringing beauty into the word. “Everybody liked Barbara” and she will be greatly missed.

The family plans to have a private ceremony to celebrate her life.
