Barbara Lynn Davis, nee Calaty (Keller, TX) passed away on Tuesday, November 16th. She was born on June 14, 1954 in Buffalo, New York. Barbara was the beloved wife for 42 years of James Davis; Loving daughter of Audrey Calaty and late Peter Calaty, Devoted and loving mother of Ashley Davis Hansen (Thomas), and Shelby Davis Heatter (Edward); Cherished Nonnie of Emerson and Landry Heatter, and Oliver Hansen; Caring sister of Susan Allen (Robert) and Janet Travis (Troy). Sister-in-law of Bob Davis (Roxanne) and Ken Davis (Denise). Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews including Lauren McMillan (Lance), Scott Allen (Kelli), Jack Travis, Robin Davis-Frey (Tim), and Brandon Davis, as well as great nieces and nephews, Ryland Arias, Raegan Allen, Easton Allen, Conner McMillan, Melia Frey and Eva Frey.
Barbara will also be missed by her extended family and close friends. Barbara was a Keller ISD employee for over 20 years. She enjoyed working at both Bear Creek Intermediate and Timber Creek High School before retiring last year. After retiring, Barbara had more time to spoil her precious grandchildren and the extra time to spend with her mom. Barbara’s faithful dog, Bella, accompanied her on many drives running errands and picking up her nephew from school. Barbara and her husband Jim recently celebrated their anniversary. Barbara loved cheering for the TCU Horned Frogs and everyone knew she was nervous during close games. She was kind, genuine, thoughtful, and the most giving person. Barbara was always willing to drop everything to lend a hand to help someone else. She truly was a compassionate friend to everyone she met and touched so many lives. Barbara’s grandpups (Sophie, Lily, Jeter and Emma) will also miss her special treats and belly rubs from the best Nonnie. Barbara will be truly missed by her family and friends, but we know she is rejoicing in heaven with her father.
