Barbara Rutledge Heath, 83, passed away September 4, 2018. Funeral: Tuesday September 11, 2018 10:30 am at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Private Burial: Tuesday at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Monday, September 10, 2018 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Barbara was born May 10, 1935 to J.B. and Bernice Rutledge in Fort Worth. She graduated from North Side High School in 1952. She married Bobby Ray Heath on March 10, 1953. It was at that point she embarked on her adventure of being the wife of a military officer, moving quite often but making sure every place was “home” for her family. Once “retired” from the military life, she enjoyed life to the fullest, travelling (she especially loved the beach), ranching, and spending time with her family.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Survived by: Sons, Robert E. Heath, Michael B. Heath, wife Laura, Kevin “Chip” Heath; daughter Dee Pollock, husband, Theron; grandchildren Kelsey Kirkland, Jason Heath, Brittany Harper, Allie Weaver, Bryanna Robilotto, Bethany Heath, Katie Heath, Kevin Heath, Samuel Heath, Riley Pollock, Makenna Pollock; brother, Buddie Rutledge and many other extended family and friends.
