Barbara Charlotte Kolhagen

Barbara Kolhagen, resident of Fort Worth, TX, formerly of Lapeer, MI, passed away on Oct 20, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family at the age of 83 years.


Barbara was born on March 1, 1940 to John and Goldie Klutz. She was raised in the Lapeer, MI area and graduated from Lapeer High School in 1958. On 6/27/59 she married Henry Kolhagen. They moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1976. She was a dedicated homemaker and caretaker. Her hobbies included sewing, puzzles, gardening, and caring for her granddaughter Desi.


Barbara was a kind, Christian woman. Most of all she was a selfless and supportive mom, grandmother & friend. Truly a beautiful lady inside and out. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but we know she is with her Jesus.


She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Henry Kolhagen. Children, Mike Kolhagen of Everman, TX, Alicia (Bernie) Taft of Tucson, AZ, Kenny (Kim) Kolhagen of Joshua, TX, and Becky (Thomas) Lopez of Burleson, TX. Sister, Ruth (Jim) Schang of Lapeer, MI. A legacy of 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren plus many more bonus grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her son, Karl Kolhagen, her parents John and Goldie Klutz and her brother Lawrence Klutz.


Viewing will be held on Oct 26, 2023 at 6-8PM at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, TX 76028.


Celebration of Life will be held on Oct 27, 2023 at 10AM at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, TX 76028.
