Barbara Ella (Fazenbaker) Powley

Barbara Ella (Fazenbaker) Powley passed away October 14, 2019. She was born December 10, 1925 to Andrew C. and Margaret Fazenbaker in Kistler, Pennsylvania. After high school, she graduated nursing school and worked in the medical field for many years.
She married George W. Powley and moved to Hurst, Texas where Barbara and George raised their two sons. She was an active leader in scouting, supporting her boys in academics and band. The family held a long-time membership at First United Methodist Church - Hurst. Barbara served at local polling locations in the Hurst area. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and knitting. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George W. Powley, her brother Bob and wife Bernice Fazenbaker, and sister Anna Mae and husband Russell Linn.
Barbara is survived by her sister Elizabeth and husband Paul Peoples and sister Peggy Fazenbaker, son David Powley and his wife Cinzia, son Gerald Powley and wife Deborah, grandson Allen Powley, grandson Michael Powley and wife Emily and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst Texas at 10:00am on Thursday October 24th, 2019.
