Barbara Gayle Wetsel, 72, of Bedford, Texas, peacefully left this earth on April 29, 2022, at Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation.
Barbara was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 8, 1949, to George and Eunice Wetsel. When she was 18, she began working at Southwestern Bell as a long-distance operator, then worked at TXU/Lonestar Gas for more than 35 years before moving to CapGemini Energy. In 2006, she began working at McKesson Pharmaceuticals, where she enjoyed being associated with that work family for more than 15 years.
Barbara loved her family, friends, and work above all else. From a young age, she enjoyed dancing, spending time with her family and friends, and watching classic movies and true crime documentaries.
Barbara is remembered as a giving and loving person. She had the gift of gab and a great sense of humor. She was the best aunt to her nieces and nephews, and she loved each of them as her own.
Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Stephen, father George, and her cherished mother, Eunice. She is survived by her brother Gary (Marcy) Wetsel, nephews Lance (Mish) Wetsel and Jeff (Phoebe) Wetsel, niece Laura (Will) Christoferson, great-nephews Ezekiel Wetsel, Brooks Christoferson, great-niece Georgia Livi Lulubelle Wetsel, cousins Richard (Vera) Stilwell, Ernest (Stacy) Rogers, and Johnnie Wetsel, and extended Wesley family.
Barbara was honored and touched by the support she received from her McKesson family last month as they walked together as “Wetsel Walkers” for the Fit2Be Cancer Free by CEOs Against Cancer partnered through the American Cancer Society.
