On Monday, December 7, 2020, the Heavens gained an angel who was larger than life, Basilio “Tod” Perez. Tod was passionate about Harley motorcycles. Plus, he created and owned Texas Size Darts. And despite his tough-guy appearance, he was a teddy bear to his family and friends, who will miss his deep, echoing laughter.
Tod is preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Perez, and his grandmother Maria Guzman Zepeda, both from Corpus Christi, Texas. And Tod is survived by his mother, Felicitas Garcia; his sons Joseph Perez, Jake Perez, Jason Perez and Darian Williams; and four grandchildren.
Tod is from a large family. His brothers and sisters are Ernest Perez, Paula Holladay, Christine Trussell, Carrie Pullen, and Al Garcia. And his nieces and nephews are Donovan Perez, Dakota Perez, Dylan Perez, Justin Shields, Jacquelin Najera, Deni Jensen, Allysa Roughton, Brianna Pullen, Sarah Pullen, Neiko Garcia, and Chaz Garcia.
To honor Tod’s life, family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 1PM at 504 John Vernon Lane, Euless, Texas 76040, or join in a Celebration of Tod’s Life on December 22, 2020, at a location still to be determined but will be posted on Tod’s Facebook page.
In lieu of flowers, Tod’s family requests that people Adopt Angel from the Salvation Army Tree and give on his behalf. And because Tod enjoyed participating in Harley Davidson’s yearly toy run, donating a toy on his behalf would also make a great tribute.
