Beatrice (Bea) Elizabeth Lindros-Scally
December 8, 1926 - March 28, 2024
Beatrice Scally, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away at 4:30 pm March 28, 2024, in the arms of loving daughter and best friend Sharon, and with support of son-in-law Robert Henry. Bea (97) was accepted by angels and delivered into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ in the home she shared with Sharon and Robert for 14 years.
Daughter of Charles and Louise, Bea was the last survivor of five, including siblings Robert (Bob), twins Norman and Chester and Edward (Buddy). The Lindros family resided in Woodbridge, NJ.
Bea was the devoted wife to John Scally who passed away on March 3, 1989. Bea and John married on August 31, 1944, just before John's deployment to the Philippines during World War II. After a beautiful marriage and a too short honeymoon, tearful Bea said good-bye to her husband on a rainy St. Louis, Missouri day. Bea spent her first night alone in a local YWCA. Nine months after John's departure, Bea gave birth to their first child Thomas. It was only upon John's return 2 years later that he learned about his first child Thomas who was then 18 months old.
Bea and John met when they worked together in New Jersey at the Forester Wheeler Company. John was a machinist. As "mail girl", Bea delivered daily corporate mail to New York City, which she carried by ferry from Staten Island. Bea's and John's was an incredible love affair. Together Bea and John had 4 children: Thomas who passed away in 2020; her beloved daughter Sharon; and two other daughters, Eileen, and Susan.
During her career, Bea worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co. where she became an expert seamstress as a sewing instructor. Bea also worked in the food services industry in Colonia, NJ. Bea was an expert cook and showered family with her famed Stuffed Shells and Lemon Meringue Pie on a regular basis.
Bea retired in the Poconos Mountains of PA before moving to Alpharetta GA to be closer to Sharon and Sharon's sons Justin and Christopher. When Sharon met Robert and shortly thereafter married him, the blended family, along with Robert's mother Helen, many big-personality pups and frequent guests, Robert's daughters Jennifer and Alexandra, moved into their new home in Country Club of the South.
Bea's pride, joy and legacy is her family. Her family includes her daughter Sharon and son-in-law Robert; Sharon's son Justin, wife Katie, and their children Liam and Ronan; Sharon's son Christopher, and fiancé posthumously, Stefania; Robert's children Jennifer, husband Joel and their children Luke, Julia, and Lara; and Robert's daughter Alexandra, and her children Nathan, Collin, and Amelia. Bea's family tapestry includes her best friend and her late cousin, Aunt Elenore, her daughter-in-law Marianne who was Thomas' wife; and her stepfamily, especially dear Stephanie "Stephy", husband Scott, as well as in-laws and honoraria's who all miss her but will always feel her acceptance and affection.
Bea blessed us with her wit, incredible one-liners, great cooking and most of all love. Though she is missed terribly, we rejoice in her faith and her new home in Heaven with her beloved husband John.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 3 at 11:00 a.m. at White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake TX. Bea will be laid to rest at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Woodbridge NJ where she will be with her husband John.
