BEDFORD -- Beatrice Florena Salyers left us for her heavenly reward on December 10, 2015. Funeral: 11:00 am Monday, December 14, 2015 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Visitation: 2-4pm Sunday December 13, 2015. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville.
Beatrice was born on February 7, 1921 in Idabel, Oklahoma to James Chappell and Hattie Holland.
Beatrice Hollowell married Aldon W. Salyers on October 20, 1962 in Bedford Texas. Beatrice and her husband went into real estate in 1964. She was a broker and in real estate development with her husband in the Mid-Cities area for 25 years. She retired in 1989 to take care of her ailing husband who passed in 1997.
She began selling Avon in 1990. Beatrice enjoyed selling her products to the women at the nursing home where her husband lived. She loved all her customers dearly.
Beatrice was head deaconess for over 20 years in the Mid-Cities Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved her Lord, Church and the many friends that she made over the years. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all who cared for Bea at Sagebrook Healthcare Center in Cedar Park, Texas during her last years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aldon Salyers, her son, Billy Hollowell and her great-grandson Garrett Taylor. Bea is survived by her daughter in-law Marge Hollowell, her granddaughter Lori Behrens and husband Greg Behrens, great-granddaughter Tiffany Taylor, her grandson Brian Hollowell and wife Angie Hollowell, great-granddaughter Amanda Hollowell and great-grandson Jake Hollowell along with many nieces and nephews.
