Benjamin Clifton “Toby” Greer

Toby Greer went to be with our Lord on November 28, 2020, after a brief illness from cancer. He was born October 14, 1942 to Marion Barry Greer and Chilton Dewey Greer. Toby is survived by his wife Nancy Marshall Greer, their children Stephen Greer, James and Sheri Greer, and Amy and Peyton Funderburk, his brother Chilton Barry Greer, his wife Janice Havens Greer and their children Andrea and Tobin. He had six beloved grandchildren Daniel, Justin, Chelsea and Ashley Greer and Travis and Aaron Funderburk.
Toby graduated from Davis High School in Houston. He attended Sam Houston University and the University of Houston. He was in the mortgage business all of his adult life and retired from the FDIC in 2017.
Toby’s home church is Houston’s First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and met and married the love of his life Nancy. Toby and Nancy were married for 57 years. He has been a resident of Keller, Texas for over 25 years. Toby’s greatest gift to others was his love for God and family, and he demonstrated Christ’s love to everyone he met throughout his life.
Toby’s Celebration of Life Service will be held at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Keller, Texas on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. and he will be laid to rest in Bourland Cemetery, Keller, Texas.
