NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Berlie Jo Carter, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. in Shady Grove Cemetery, Deberry. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Memorials are requested to Shady Grove Cemetery Association, in care of Shady Grove Baptist Church, 6649 Precinct Line Road, North Richland Hills, Texas 76182.
Berlie, a native of Withrow Springs, Ark., was born Sept. 10, 1919. She was a longtime resident of Deberry and an area resident since the 1990s. She retired from Sam's Club as a demo lady when she was 91 years old. Berlie was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Berlie was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, and her daughter, Damone Winters.
Survivors: She is survived by her grandsons, Christopher and Joseph Winters; and a host nieces and nephews.
