Bertha Valentine

Services will be held Monday, November 4th, at First Grapevine Methodist Church, 422 S Church St, Grapevine. Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Pelican Cemetery, Pelican, La.

Bertha was born in Raceland, LA on January 6th 1929 to Antoine & Antoinette Naquin. Bertha married Ray Valentine in 1948 and the two were married for 54 years.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents (Antione and Antoinette Naquin), husband (Ray Valentine), sister (Doris Mitchell), brother, (Rodney Naquin), daughter in law (Claire Jones Valentine), grandson (Allen Ray Valentine) and her beloved son, (Gary Ray Valentine).

Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Sherry France and husband Tommy; Daughter in law, Rebecca Mitchell Valentine; 5 grandchildren, Valerie Valentine Standridge (CB), Jeff France (Payton), Matt France (Meredith), Leslie France Anderson (Christopher), Trent Valentine (Olivia); 9 great grandchildren, Maggie, Boston, Casen & Paige Standridge, McKenna & Levi France, Fletcher Anderson, Stella & Sawyer Valentine; Also 4 loving step grands , Taylor & Hunter Anderson, Kenzie Talley & Maycee Walling.
