Bertrand Norbert Collini, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Worth on Monday, June 7, 2021. Bert was born to Gertrude Mueller and Louis A. Collini on April 23, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended Bellarmine College in Louisville and served in the United States Air Force. Bert moved to Irving, Texas in 1965, as a meat merchandiser at Kroger and was soon promoted to a zone manager. He was employed by Kroger for over 50 years. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, playing poker with friends and family, and spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bert is survived by his wife, Pat Collini; children Mark Collini (Marlie), Leslie Arcisz (John), Wayne Collini (Alice), Steve Collini (Cindy), Kim Adamcik (Alan), Diane James (Mark), Patrick Collini (Wendy), and Sonny Conover (Giselle); sister Rita Shaughnessy (Mike) and brother Don Collini (Donna); 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Bert will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Louis Collini, brothers Louis and Vincent Collini, and sisters Dorothy and Juanita.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 11 from 6-8pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 10am at Saint Vincent’s Cathedral Church, 1300 Forest Ridge Drive in Bedford. Interment will take place Saturday at 12:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Road in Colleyville. Reception will follow at 2pm on Saturday in the Parish Hall at Saint Vincent’s Cathedral Church in Bedford.
