Bettie Harwell

Bettie Jean Mitchell Harwell of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on September 4, 2020 at Harbor Chase Assisted Living at the age of 93.
Bettie was born August 24, 1927 in Irving, Texas, to Charles & Bessie Mitchell. She grew up in Coppell and Irving and later met and married Albert Harwell in Grapevine.
They lived their whole married life in Grapevine, where they raised their son Mike. They were active in their community, church, and other organizations. Bettie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Grapevine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, her brother Dick, and her sister Marsha.
She is survived by her son Mike and wife Vicki of Wapanucka, OK; her grandson, Christopher and family of Clifton, Texas; and her granddaughter, Shelley and family of Kissee, MO; brother Bill and wife Vicki of Texas; four great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be come and go on Wednesday and Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine. A Graveside Memorial will be on Friday at 10 am for immediate family and close friends at Grapevine Cemetery.
