Betty Jean Bullard, a resident of Parkwood Living Center in Bedford, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2019, at the age of 87. She was born in 1931, in Commerce, Texas as Betty Jean Farler, and was married to her late husband Jack Matt Bullard of Sulphur Springs, Texas. They lived the early years of their marriage in the Dallas area. Later they moved to Euless, Texas where he became a policeman, and later retired from the city as Director of the Water, Street, and Public Works Department.
She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Euless. Her hobbies included: fishing, boating, lake-life at Texoma, cooking, flower arranging, and spending time with friends at Parkwood.
She was the daughter of the late George and Thelma Farler, and the sister of the late Anna Kay Morgan (Norman), formerly of Plano, Texas.
She is survived by her two sons: Jack E. Bullard and wife Beverly of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Keith A. Bullard and wife Alice of Springtown, Texas. Her grandchildren include: Brian Bullard (Kellie), Dustin Bullard, Jim Bullard (Chris), and Elizabeth Woerhle (Maurice). She leaves five great-grandchildren behind: Matt Bullard (Alex), Natasha Brandt (James) and Nicholas Bredehoft (Vanessa), Rosa Medina, and Veronica Medina.
She is also survived by five great-great-grandchildren: Ryder, Sloan, Leana, Annabelle, and Julie, and a nephew Marc Morgan (Cathy), and their daughter Heather. In addition, many other relatives of the Bullard, Farler, and Stone families, and life-long friends knew her as Betty, Jean, or Betty Jean.
There will be an open viewing from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Friday night January 18, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas. A memorial service/life celebration will be in the funeral home chapel at 10am on Saturday, January 19. She will be interred later with her husband, mom and dad, and sister in Commerce, Texas.
